Financial Inequality

Inequality is defined as income being distributed unevenly to a group of people.  This is another important factor that plays a large role in reaching the American Dream.  Many Acts have been passed throughout time but it seems as though no matter what they're still is that financial inequality there.  Job pay should be determined by the education level or job experience a person has.  But inequality kicks in when it's determined by sex or race.  That's when it becomes unfair.

Many have suffered the effects and ripples of white supremacy and pay inequality.  Since there has been a need to work to maintain a family or even pay the bills for some reason it seems as though money is never enough.  According to the article "Wage Discrimination Based on Gender and Race", by Angela Kennedy, Eiko Nagata, Brandy P. Mushenski, and Danyelle L. Johnson, "Statistics on the frequency of wage discrimination show that jobs held by women and minorities (e.g. Blacks, Latinos) often do not pay as well as those held by White men".  This makes it difficult for women that are minorities to reach equal paying jobs as white men.  Being a woman shouldn't be a barrier to getting equal pay.  On the contrary, it should help, because most women are not only employees but mothers who are good at multitasking and can be a great asset to a company.  This discrimination violates the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which prohibits wage and other discrimination based on race.  This discrimination prohibits races other than Anglo from reaching a higher pay and being part of the American Dream.
