When leaving your home country, the last thing that's on your mind is getting deported. Deported to the land that saw you be born, the land you are leaving behind to find a brighter future for your loved ones. But what assures you that you won't get deported when following your American Dream? Nothing, there is absolutely nothing that will help you. On the contrary, it seems as though everything is against you.
Many political parties don't seem to see or even care what a family goes through when their loved one is deported. Mothers, fathers, and children lose loved ones due to deportation daily. And most of the people that are being deported are honest people that are only trying to support their families. What happens with a USA-born child's parents being deported? Do the political parties ever ask themselves that question? Do they care?

Families are torn apart just because they don't have the proper documentation to be in the United States. But acquiring legality is no simple procedure. In some cases, it's not even possible. I know people who have been in the United States paying taxes and with paperwork that has been processed for 20 years. These people have done everything they have been asked for to get citizenship yet they are denied. Unable to leave the United States due to losing all the time they have been waiting for their "Green Cards". It's sad to see how many families are separated by an invisible line.
One important question I ask myself is "What happens to the children of the deported?". If they are US citizens and young how does this affect them for the rest of their lives? Separation anxiety is no joke. Many don't get reunited with their parents until they are of age. And so many years of bonding have been lost. All due to deportation that would be abolished if the immigration process was easier.
